The power of little
I have been thinking a lot lately about the power of little.
All of my life I have heard that bigger is better and that more is better than less, but I am finding that is not always accurate. Recently in our church we have been serving the community with various small projects that range from cleaning out gutters to picking up trash on a school campus to buying a child school supplies. These aren't huge undertakings, but the results have been life impacting. You don't always have to do something "Big" to be effective. As a matter of fact "Big" takes a lot of resources, a lot of management and causes a lot of stress. In a world where resources are limited, time is precious and managers are already overloaded, we would do well to tap into the power of little. I am finding that "Big" is actually limited to serving a few but at a "Big" price, while "Little" can touch the lives of many and be just as impacting while costing little.
